Kent County Arts Council is pleased to invite you to join FRIENDS OF G.A.R.

The Charles Sumner Post of the Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) was built in Chestertown in 1908 by African American veterans of the Civil War.
It is one of only two such monuments left standing in the United States today. Click here to learn more.
