Legacy Day 2019

 Legacy Day – Historic Churches
August 10 & 17, 2019

Legacy Day celebrates the rich cultural heritage of African Americans in Kent County. It is an opportunity for all residents to recognize their shared history and have a good time. This year’s theme is Historic African American Churches of Kent County.

Enjoy live music by local favorite, Jasper Hackett with Quiet Fire; favorite food, drink and craft vendors; a special exhibit at the Bordley History Center; a genealogy workshop; a Gospel Concert featuring Rev. Dr. Anthony Brown; a parade; a dance contest and dancing in the street with DJ Lonnie Butcher.

Legacy Day is offered free of charge to the community – thanks to the generous support of individuals, organizations and businesses.
